Heineken is good… Caffreys is better. Can’t believe no one mentioned Caffreys.

So smooth, creamy. Stare at the foam bubbles and the perfect head on every pour. Stare and fathom the murky beauty of that which is Caffreys.

It’s a cause for celebration.

Fin de Monde, anyone? It’s my favourite at the moment.

I’ll keep my eye out for Caffereys and Fin de Monde (love the name of that last one! End of the world…huh!)

the other day we were at the “brickskeller” here in town, and they’ve got hundreds of beers in stock from all over the world.

the thing i’m curious about is that the guy across the table ordered a “delirium tremens” and was raving about it, and i noticed there was a sign indicating that this particular beer (belgian) was voted the best beer in the world. now, i don’t know by whom or any of those details, but was curious if anyone else had tried it. i was tempted, but didn’t have my wallet on me, and it was something like $9 or $10 for a bottle.

It’s VERY good. You can probably find a less expensive bottle at a local liquor store or “beverage depot”. But beer always tastes better at a pub, so I’d go for it.

Ooh…we just had delirium tremens last week. It’s SOOOOO good. That’s the beer that Grant always gives people who say they don’t like beer. Interestingly enough, that same night we had fin du monde. Also good—maybe even better.

I’d like to put my vote in for Maudite: another Montreal beer (by the same company that brews Fin du Monde). BUT you can find it on tap. Don’t pass it up! (C’mon triciadk…back me up on this one!)
