so far i’ve heard a lot of positive reports about arnold and the moves he’s made. he seems to be (at least by his appointments thus far) much more of the uniter that bush once claimed to be.

I appreciated this anecdote:

“When he went to Washington, he said as much. At a festive gathering of California’s Republican congressional delegation, Schwarzenegger warned his Republican colleagues that he was elected to be governor of all California, says Rep. Mary Bono. “He said, ’You’re not going to like some of the things I’m going to do,’” she adds. “That was sort of a gutsy thing to do. It made some people squirm.””

I was pretty impressed that Arnold is not taking a salary from the State in an effort to help with the number crunching. He has enough money and say’s that he has no need for the salary. I am also glad he rescinded the car tax. That was ridiculous.
