Are there any sites that just keep you coming back? (It can go without saying that this site is among them. Oh, wait, I just said it.)

In case you’re wondering, this question comes from looking at the back page archives and trying to get a sense of what kind of sites people are suggesting, and which sites recur.

I’m interested in quality sites, whether it’s news, editorial, humour, or whatever. There’s so much trash it’d be nice to get a little list of the good stuff together in one place.

I am hourly on the www.worldnetdaily.com site getting news updates. As many know, I frequent the Koinonia House site alot as well www.khouse.org. They have a newsletter you can subscribe to for free which is very very good. Of course being an audio hound, I am always at the Tape Op site (also has free magazine that is freakin awesome). www.tapeop.com Lastly, to appease my horror film loving wacked out side, I jump on the Esplatter site. www.esplatter.com

You probably already know of this one already, Laryn—I know other CINO members have mentioned it too—but I think it’s worth mentioning again:

http://www.salon.com

It’s by far my favorite online news source. I find Alternet to be too propoganda-ish, and while I also like The New Republic, I still think Salon is better.

My only beef is that they don’t do a ton of world news; the vast majority is related to American politics and culture . . . Does anyone have good suggestions for getting world news and culture online, from a stance other than, “This thing that happened in that country affects America because . . .” ???
