Summerfest in Milwaukee just announced its lineup. Included in the performers this year are:
Ben Harper
Galactic (wanna’ come for a visit Lopez?)
Santana
Tom Petty
Wilco
Among others. The dates are 6/26-7/6. Consider it a big happy invite to south east Wisconsin.

not to steal any of norbert’s summerfest thunder, but ben harper (and jack johnson) will be playing here in chicago on june 6. they’re actually playing at my university, so if anyone wants to see that show let me know and i can hook you up with some tickets.

sounds good norb, but as eddie pointed out i’m going to be too busy listening to “the song remains the same” over and over again.

actaully i’m going to go see robert randolph and the family band in seattle next week. he’s that amazing pedal steele player featured on “the word” album you mentioned before.

when it comes to instrumental virtuosity ben harper would be lucky to change this guys guitar strings.

Norbert – imight have to join you on the 1st of July. Galactic in the afternoon and The Dead & Willy Nelson that night! I don’t know how much i like The Dead replacing Jerry Garcia with Joan Osborne???? I’d also rather see Bruce Hornsby still with the band, but this is still too good to pass up.

I chatted with a Dead Head friend of mine who pretty much owns everything Gratefil Dead you can possibly own, and he said that The Dead line-up is unbelievable and you will not be disappointed! He saw them this past December with Bob Dylan and said it was unbelievable.

Just thought I would pass that on to you.
