So, Recently I’ve discovered Joanna Newsom. She’s an indie-folk artist who rocks out on the harp. Yes, the harp. If you don’t know her music already you should. Her voice has ‘a pure, untrained sound somewhere between a child and a crone.’ (allmusic.com’s review) It took a little while to adjust to her voice, but her voice in combination with her harp lets her get away with singing words like “panopticon” and “antediluvian” and it works.
