Gibson has been getting alot of undue heat about this project. The truth is that he is a very dedicated Catholic and poured his sould (and personal resources) into this project. If you see it, please don’t be dismayed at the fact that it is entirely in Aramaic with no subtitles. I am sure a dubbed version will be released later.
By the way, he just finished building a church in Agoura Hills, CA where his family attends. He is involved in his church and very commited to the word. We need more Gibsons in this world.

anybody else heard about mel gibson’s lastest movie project, ‘the passion’? there was a recent article about it in the nytimes, check it out http://www.nytimes.com/2003/08/03/arts/03RICH.html
there is something vaguely unsettling about mel gibson attempting a film about Jesus’ final twelve hours, particularly the secrecy around the project and some of the questionable portrayals of jewish people.
