What do people this of this? I have a child who is now entering the phase where this could become a possiblity. What do peole think of this? Is it creational? Is there redemption in spanking your kids? Should I do it? On what grounds? Culture has changed so much since i was a kid 20 years ago and now i wonder what is prudent . . .

Thoughts, questions, concerns?

spanking isn’t the issue here……
the issue is truly one of values…..
do you value your child and his or her eventual progression into adulthood???
if you do then spank the hell out of your kid…..
and he or she will thank you in spades when they get older…..

you’re right ron, spanking is an issue of values. if you spank your kids, you know to make them better adults, toughen them up. nothin’ like a good slapping around and the occasional smack down makes the kid a better adult. all apart of your love for them and desire for them to become good upstanding adults. so, if spanking is an indication of your values and love for your children, what about husbands spanking their wives? you know that it was legal until the early ’70s. is spanking your wife a sign of your love?
