Vol 7, Num 5 :: 2008.03.07 — 2008.03.21
Bait our tongues with food
That worm-on-a-hook's first ploy
By eating to destroy
Dust to Man to Worm
In our mouths and in our tombs
By rotted flesh consumed
Who could claim to love
These bones, and from the grave
Somehow, by eating save?
Christ’s body and blood
From our mouths and from our graves
New praise and bodies raise
Those so fed must fast
Not from food but from the flesh
That died with Him in death
Worm to Dust to Bride
Comes the wedding feast at last
To break the Lenten fast
