catapult magazine, a project of *culture is not optional, releases themed issues every other week, featuring works that tell stories toward connected lives. Each day, we make thousands of choices, from the ordinary to the extraordinary. These choices come from somewhere, reflecting or contradicting our deeply held beliefs about who we are and what the world is for. These choices also go somewhere, connecting us to local and global systems in ways that may or may not foster shalom: flourishing for all of creation. catapult provides a space of confession, sharing and imagining new possibilities for those who are seeking to be agents of shalom in their households, neighborhoods, cities and world.Volunteer staff and contributors have been publishing catapult since September 2002.
